From April 1, 2020, with the establishment of the Open Facility Center, the Engineering Department has been reorganized as an Open Facility Center. The Ookayama analysis department and the Suzukakedai analysis department were integrated into the analysis department.
The Materials Analysis Division manages and operates equipment that is commonly needed by various research labs. Such equipment includes those that would be too expensive for each research lab to purchase independently, would not be used frequently in a single lab, or would be too difficult to maintain. The use of the equipment can be flexibly accommodated in any format, from contract analysis to observation and measurements or self-service use.
