In April 2020, Institute of Science Tokyo
founded its Open Facility Center (Core Facility Center), comprised of all technical personnel at the university, as an organization that would provide shared research facilities and oversee their utilization. The Center continues to make use of the characteristics of the University's initiatives for providing access to a variety of facilities. Simultaneously, it is efficiently managing and operating these facilities and is spearheading the planning and implementation of new research facilities. Furthermore, we are pursuing the training and certification of highly skilled technical personnel to support our research infrastructure. We are taking a two-pronged approach, upgrading our research facilities and developing the capabilities of our staff, with the aim of becoming an organization that provides the latest research infrastructure.
