April 5, 2023
Professor Hiroshi Kimura of the Cell Biology Center, Institute of Innovative Research(IIR), will again present an easy-to-understand lecture from a user's perspective on how to make good use of fluorescence microscopes and confocal microscopes.
We invite you to join us if you are just starting to use a microscope or if you are having trouble with microscopic observation. Please spread the word to students in your laboratory.
Date : 2023-4-19 (Wed)
Join: Online (Zoom)
Program:
10:45 ~ 12:15 Part 1 Basics of Fluorescence Microscopy
Lectures on the principles of fluorescence microscopy and basic knowledge of lens characteristics will be given.
13:30 ~ 14:30 Part 2 Using confocal microscopy successfully!
For those who (plan to) use confocal microscopes, this lecture will cover the principles of confocal microscopy and tips on how to use confocal microscopes. *This lecture is a prerequisite for attending Part 1.
